Blind faith is like stepping off a cliff during a snowstorm, hoping something will catch you — without any reason to think it will.

Faith, on the other hand, is like hearing a trusted climbing guide give you directions, even if you can’t see them clearly — and following those instructions because you trust their knowledge and care.

No you should never shut down logic or reason  – In this world it’s the conviction(knowing) that something is true, even when it’s not directly observable or easily understood.

Faith means trusting in something even when you don’t have solid proof. Blind faith goes a step further — it means holding on to a belief even when all signs point the other way.

Here’s a simple (though not perfect) example:

You have faith when you believe your new husband or wife will stay loyal.

You have blind faith when you believe that, even after they’ve already cheated on you multiple times.
