I believe that spirituality and religion are not the same thing.
Religion is usually about rules, teachings, and a holy book. It often talks about one or more gods that people are told to worship and sometimes fear.
Spirituality is more about feeling that there’s something bigger than us — something beyond what we can see or prove. It’s the idea that not everything in life can be explained by science or logic. There’s a deeper meaning to things. Spirituality doesn’t always mean you believe in God — but it can include that too.
You can be a spiritual person without following a specific religion. This means you might believe in God or a higher power and even feel a connection to it — but you don’t necessarily accept everything written in religious texts. You may believe in something greater than yourself, without feeling the need to worship it in a traditional way.
